Kiwanis Holiday Craft Fair
The 34th annual Brockport Kiwanis Club Holiday Craft Fair will be held at the Sweden-Clarkson Community Center on Sunday December 7, 2008. The 2007 show, with a total of 73 craft vendors, was the largest craft show in Brockport in many years. Artists displayed handmade crafts and art of every description from traditional fabrics, wood and jewelry to photography, paintings, and glass. There were many new and unusual items including uniquely illuminated displays suitable for home or office decoration.

As an alternative to mall gift shopping for the holidays, the selection was unparalleled for everyone from infants to adults. Craft prices ranged from a few dollars to over $100, with something for every budget.
Entertainment was provided by local school choirs and a string quartet playing seasonal music throughout the day. Brockport Kiwanis would like to thank local music teachers Sally Martin, Liz Banner, and Claudia Deiboldt for their help bringing the wonderful young performers to us. Hot food, snacks and beverages were also available during the event thanks to the Brockport HS Key Club and their advisor Kerry Blocker.
The Brockport Kiwanis Club Holiday Craft Fair is held annually on the first Sunday of December. Since 1975, the Craft Fair has featured the quality hand made products of crafters and artists from central and western New York and northern Pennsylvania. With quality crafts, free admission, free parking and live music, the Craft Fair typically draws crowds of holiday shoppers from Monroe, Orleans and Genesee Counties.
In 2003, we relocated our Craft Fair to the new Sweden/Clarkson Community Center on Lake Road - just south of Route 31 in Brockport, NY. This new site has ample room for crafters, easy access, plenty of parking, and is minutes away from the many stores in and around the Village of Brockport. We are pleased to have received a long term commitment from the Community Center which we feel has heightened the public's anticipation for our Craft Fair.
Crafters and Artists
Hand crafters [as opposed to resellers] are invited to participate in our holiday season event. To preserve our tradition of featuring quality crafts presented by the artists who have made them, the applications of all first time participants are juried.
An application form is available here. The form contains specific information about show and setup times, location, space size and price, table rentals, and application deadline. Please register early. We try to honor requests for location of spaces on a first come, first served basis.
Early registration discounts are available! Please see the application form for details.
The Kiwanis Club is committed to helping you have a successful event. The amount of advertising is being increased this year to reach more people in more markets. We are also planning additional activities that will draw more people to the venue without competing with the craft venders.
