Brockport Kiwanis Club Members
The Kiwanis Club of Brockport is an active and growing club. In 2005 and early 2006 we had an uncommonly large number of long-time members move out of the area and our club size dropped to 12 members. We are on the rebound and have already grown back to over 20 members!
With new members comes new ideas and new vigor. Brockport Kiwanis Club members are involved in lots of activities, serving our community and meeting needs at home and around the world. Some of our new projects include sponsoring a Bowling Tournament, hosting a Masquerade Ball featuring the Brockport Community Big Band, sponsoring a Circle K Club on the SUNY Brockport Campus, and bringing the Soap Box Derby to Brockport. A few of our ongoing projects include hosting a Mystery Theater with the B.U.M. Players, publishing a Coupon Book, sponsoring a Holiday Craft Show and Sale, maintaining an Adopt-a-Highway section of Route 19 south of Brockport, putting on Chicken BBQs, running a food booth at the Brockport Arts Festival, bell ringing for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign, and supporting the Key Club at Brockport High.
One of our past presidents explained it well. Being a member of Kiwanis allows us to be philanthropic in a way that is much greater than any of us can achieve individually. The whole truely is greater than the sum of the parts.

What is a Kiwanian, You Ask?
A Kiwanian is an individual of good character who adheres to the standards of good conduct in a community and believes in and subscribes to the Objects of Kiwanis International.
The individual Kiwanian believes in giving primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than the material values of life; believes in treating other human beings as they would like to be treated in all human relationships; believes in promoting the adoption and application of higher social, business, and professional standards; desires to develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship; believes in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill; and the individual desires to provide, through this club, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build a better community.
Join Us For a Meeting
If you have a desire to help the community and get involved in our activities, we would like to add your name to our members list. You can contact any member for information on joining the club, but perhaps the best way is to come to one of our weekly meetings and introduce yourself.
