Kiwanis Membership

Membership in the Brockport Kiwanis Club is open, by invitation, to men and women interested in contributing their time and energy to community service through the Kiwanis Club. Kiwanis International's defining statement is "Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time." While actively participating in this world wide vision, our club's focus is on helping the children of Brockport and the surrounding areas and giving back to our Community.

Prospective members are invited to join by existing members. The club's board of directors then reviews membership information for approval. Beyond the initial induction fee, members contribute annual dues as determined by the club. Members, on average, invest about six hours a month by participating in meetings, projects, and volunteering in our community.

The Rewards of Membership

Through Kiwanis membership, communities are improved, friendships are built, leadership skills are developed, and business contacts are made. More importantly, the lives of children around the world are changed for the better.

As part of Kiwanis International, members receive KIWANIS magazine ten times a year, enjoy access to an on-line community, and may receive discounts on products and services.

Specifically, membership in the Brockport Kiwanis Club enables you to:

• Participate regularly in meetings and club functions. Give the members a chance to know you better and for you to know them better and to build lasting friendships with each other.
• Strengthen the Brockport Kiwanis Club by lending your talents and special skills where they are needed.
• Speak out! Share your ideas with other club members.
• Give recognition to other club members for their contributions to the organization and the greater Brockport community.
• Recruit new members. Invite your friends to join.
• In short, help keep Kiwanis the NUMBER ONE service organization in the world today.

For the Brockport Kiwanis Club, there is an initiation fee of $50 and annual dues are $95. Membership applications are available from any club member.
